Hi,

I'm a bit of a "hardware noob", and maybe I have missed something obvious, but here it goes:

I recently bought an Orange Pi RK3399 board and have just received it (yay!). I was planning on powering it using a "Universal Power-Supply"-adapter. You know, one of those where you can choose/configure various output values and connector-sizes.

So, I've got the right connector and have set the output to 12V / 2A. So far so good.

However, I can also modify what type of polarity I want the power-supply to use. Experience tells me that this is a sure way to destroy things if I get it wrong so I thought I'd make sure how to set it before turning on the power. Unfortunately, I've been searching orangepi.org (forums, wiki, etc.) and elsewhere for information about this without finding any.

What I'm looking for is something like this picture (but with 12V / 2A of course). I know it's most common to have POSITIVE (+) in the center, but I want to be sure.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

as per the industry standard. plus inside the pigtail, ground (minus) on the outside. works for all OrangePIs, as well as in most electronics applications world-wide.

Yes, you are right but the keyword there is: "as well as in most electronics applications world-wide".

Also, I have no idea about the standards and such in China/Asia (thinking about them yankees with their inches and pounds and 120V/60Hz-wallsockets and Kardashians and craziness). I simply didn't want to risk it. :-)

Anyway, all is good. I have it up and running now.
