OrangePi Lite - could WiFi work in WiFi-Direct mode (no router)?

Hello,
Is it possible to get a WiFi-Direct connection from OrangePi Lite to for example smartphone and send a file to it? I mean with not using router.

You can install a File Manager App in your smartphone and start a ftp server on the phone.

Using OrangePI connect to FTP server then send and receive file
