I'm reading your question and I realize that I have very similar thoughts. Sometimes you sit down to watch something and there seems to be an expectation, but literally after a few minutes you already catch yourself that attention is slipping away somewhere else. Maybe it's not just the scripts or the staging, but simply the fact that we perceive stories differently at different moments. For example, I often find myself feeling that cinema as a whole has changed, and it's harder for me to immerse myself in it the way I used to. |
